Our Story

Chaplin Farms is a small family farm. We grow a variety of fruits and vegetables using organic and sustainable practices. In 1937, Ferdinand Chaplin purchased his farm and began growing fruits, vegetables and raising chickens. Over time, the farm transitioned to rotating corn and beans. Roughly seventeen years ago Doug and Christy moved back to the family farm, took their land out of production and planted native grasses to let the ground rest. In 2013, we returned to our roots and once again began growing a variety of fruits and vegetables using the old natural methods.
